TITLE: SOLUTIONS & PERFORMANCE ARCHITECT

GigaIO provides disruptive interconnect technology to extend PCIe outside the server and across racks to achieve game-changing performance, scalability, and composability for Advanced Scale Computing used in AI/ML/DL, advanced analytics and high-performance computing. The Fabrex™ PCIe Switch interconnect breaks the server boundary to connect dozens to hundreds of heterogeneous compute engines (CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, ASICs), RDMA memory pools, and NVMe storage devices (SSDs) into dynamically composable, high-performance computing systems.
Solutions & Performance Architect
We are seeking a senior-level Solutions & Performance Architect to design and demonstrate configuration recipes for deploying Fabrex™ network products in the context of a variety of market segments and use cases. This person will propose, construct and demonstrate complete customer solutions, characterize the performance of GigaIO’s disruptive Fabrex™ interconnect compared with the performance of legacy solutions, and document reference configurations (recipes).  This person will report to the VP of Engineering and provide requirements for new products as well as design guidance for the rest of the engineering team. He/she will become expert in the use cases, applications, and benchmarks in a variety of market segments, such as Advanced Scale Computing and HPC, ML/DL/Big Data, Fintech, Telco, Data Storage Systems, Databases, etc.
Must Haves:
- At least 10 years’ experience, and 5 years’ as an architect-level engineer developing enterprise-class hardware or systems software in a HW manufacturing company.
- Broad development experience with multiple tiers of enterprise systems software; applications, middleware, OS libraries, OS Kernel, OS Drivers.
- Background in performance analysis and familiarity with a variety of standard computer systems performance benchmarks (e.g., TPC, LINPACK, Iometer, SPEC, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of a variety of interconnect protocols (e.g., NFS/CiFS, TCP/IP, Ethernet, NVMe, NVMe-OF, PCI-e, Infiniband, CXL, OpenCAPI, etc.)
- Expert scripting skills (Python, Perl, or shell).
- Expert C or C++ skill.
- Ability to lead other engineers, creating constructive relationships
- Thorough, focused, methodical, and good documentation habits
- Excellent conversational, written communication, and customer presentation skills.
Wants:
- Experience with a network product/system and preferably at the switch level
- Deep knowledge and experience with industry-standard PCI Express and Ethernet protocols.
- Experience with the HPC OFED stack including: MPI, CUDA, RDMA, IB Verbs and Libfabric.
Education Requirements:
- BS (MS or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field.
